standing center stage

Puccini marked his debut

Happy Birthday Pnut

ps:  Nineteen years ago, Jordan was born…while listening to Puccini’s famous aria Un Bel Di from his opera Madame Butterfly.  There were two ironies present at that moment – Jordan made his momentous entrance into the spot light as Kiri Te Kanawa ‘hit the high note’ of the final crescendo.  As a dancer and choreographer, I could not have staged this moment more perfectly!  Second irony of the day – Un Bel Di translates into One Beautiful Day.  January 23, 1995 was a beautiful day indeed.

ps take two:  Puccini’s O Mio Bambino Cara (My Beloved Father) was also on my CD, but Pnut must not have been ready for his grand entrance.  A divo cannot to be rushed! (he still cannot be rushed) Not to mention the fact that it was the beloved mother who was experiencing natural childbirth  – not the beloved dad, who was standing with a camcorder….waiting…. 🙂

Thanks Dom. I will give the youngin’ your birthday wish. As i told Jen, he is my dramatic child. Which makes quite a bit of sense since he is going to be the movie producer:)

Thank you very much. I will relay your wish – Jordan is my ‘dramatic’ child. Not unlike his mom – an Aquarian thing, I believe.
