A street in NW Burbs of Illinois…

last walk before heading to school
This is ‘the street’. Syd’s street. We spend a lot of time walking, talking, sniffing and barking along this street. On the north side is a farm and on the south side are houses and a pond. I took this photo last autumn because this was Sydnee Pee and Jordan’s last walk before Jordan left for college. I remember thinking that my Pnut has grown up and life would never be the same again…

Ugh…that must have been hard to watch. I bet both you and Pee miss Jordan. It’s hard when they go off to college!

yes, we miss him. but as he has said to me, and keeps saying to me – “Mom – i have to go and make my movie:)”
btw – here is a link to a video on his youtube channel – all of his school projects are on there. he is in the midst of making the big movie – freshman project.

I miss the burbs so much sometimes. But, I would not give up farm life, either. I am hugging you in my heart, Sweet Kimberly. I know your heart is going through so very much.

the irony is – i actually live in an area that is more rural, My subdivision is surrounded by farms! Northern Illinois, or at least my neck of it is very prairie’ish and flat though is has some hills – the outskirts of the Kettle Morraine. I used to live more east, closer to Lake Michigan and this area was more wooded.

Well, at least you get the best of both worlds, then. I do enjoy visiting friends that live in the burbs. I like being able to walk around and see neighbors and such. But, I do get to talk to my chickens…..and they are great listeners…barely any gossip…so I cannot complain. Hugs!!

I saw the movie version….then a tape of the stage version much later. Precious times…when the kid goes off to school and leaves his buddy behind!
