the dark night

each ebony sky brings with it

a lonely silence,

which holds dominion over my senses.

it’s grip is painful,

relentless

and

cold ~

~

it leaves me empty inside.

I am so sorry I am getting to this so late – I wrote this as I was dropping my son off at his dad’s house. It is always a melancholic time for me and i am driving westbound, so the sky is a just almost dark when i drop him off and somewhere between there and my house, it becomes a dark night. Thank you so much for reading:) xx
