what i am and not

September 2, 2014 at 3:15 pm 23 comments

i am not some character in a grandiose play.

i am not some object to be molded out of a lifeless piece of clay.

i am no one’s obligation

or

a servant on a leash.

I am myself to be.

~ SO ~

you can respect me

or

you can leave me ~

either way,

i am

who

i am meant to be.

in memory of my mom,
who never could

May your mother’s soul rest in peace. Amen!

A beautiful piece with a magnificent lesson to be ourselves! That’s the only way we will be able to live for ourselves.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you – my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and I remember asking her what I should do because I was given her POA – she told me she was tired and all she wanted was peace. So, i know she is at peace..:) xxxx

Thank you very much. I know that she is. She told me she would and, in many ways, this made it easier to let her go.
