broken words

~

they are memories

stacked upon a shelf

warped grooves upon vinyl circles ~ ~ ~

broken records.

~

still existing

after years of wear and tear

resulting in relentless repetition

endless skipping…

never changing…

~ ~ ~

broken songs

~

~ not really ~

~

broken thoughts

which

cannot be tossed

Just read your poem out to Jeannie. Jean said, “It’s a bit dark but lovely.” As I feel. You do craft the most exquisite words.
