my Suessian thoughts

¤

each day the sun wakes

with

a smile upon its face

until

a cloud comes around bringing with it a frown.

¤

on some of these days,

the sun pushes the cloud away

and

on others…

the cloud stands strong ~

holding the sun at bay.

¤

it seems most days

the sun and the cloud

enjoy the games they play…

romping round and about ~

day after day

but

sometimes they are at odds ~

the sky becomes a free for all…

leaving us creatures down below

to witness

their rowdy playground brawl.

As I was i writing it, it was kinda sounding like a Dr. Seuss book. I read it to my son who agreed. 🙂 of course, Dr. Seuss is a master and I could never or would ever compare my work to his but I felt like I was channeling him:)
