an everlasting dance

May 13, 2017 – Graduation

embraced by a melody…

consumed by a rhythm…

I reach beyond my present

and

wrap my arms

around

the memories of the past…

call me a what?

~

i call it my scribbles

however

you may call it what you wish,

they are feelings and thoughts scratched into words ~

~

sometimes rhyming…

sometimes not…

~

they are what they are

and

they come from inside ~

my mind, my gut,

my heart.

an ode to a poet

Oh poet where art thou?
Your written words are so missed.
Their elegant presence
and beauty –
we wish.

A subtle craftsman you are;
a talent so poignant and refined –
your voice inspires us daily
through your melodious rhyme.

Your followers –
we  highly appreciate
your creative gifts,
and the time you have given us
for your words of encouragement.

Sometimes a scribe
must break away for a while;
from the paper and pen –
for a breath of fresh air,
so that he may return to his audience
replenished and fair.

Oh poet where art thou?
your words –
they are missed.

an evening in the lagoon......

an evening in the lagoon……
